Being a flexible power unit, depending on your needs, you can use your own extension cord so you are in the shade while working, and the Solar PowerPac II is providing your 120 VAC power. In addition, a separate auxiliary battery may be attached to significantly extend run times for periods of less sun.

The base unit has a U.L. Listed AC battery charger accessory, and the internal battery is a (sealed) SLA, which is exempt from 49 CFR 173.159, since it meets the requirements of 49 CFR 173.159(d), exempt from hazardous classification for purposes of shipping by land, air or sea. The base unit enclosure is considered a portable device and of commercial quality. Further agency certification(s) is not relevant or required. However, the inverter, safety provisions, and all other components are recognized to meet or exceed respected standards. The solar module is listed as U.L. 1703/IEC 61215/TÜV, Safety Class II.
