Add the no-hassle SP solar panel option and you have a reliable means to keep your critical items operating indefinitely during an extended utility power failure. The solar panel(s) can replenish the 12 volt battery on an average daily basis.

Simply connect the battery cables to a 12 volt battery and plug the AC power cord into a wall plug or a generator. As long as AC power is available, the S4P-1500 keeps the batteries fully charged and also supplies AC power to its built-in duplex outlet. When AC power fails, the inverter continues to supply power to the duplex outlet to keep your critical loads running. There's no interruption in power! A computer connected to the unit would not even get a screen flutter, for example. You can determine the level of power protection by the size of your battery, from a few hours to a few days.

Solar power option extends run time indefinitely during long power failures

The no-hassle SP solar panel option provides a reliable means to keep your critical items operating indefinitely during an extended utility power failure. The solar panel or small array helps keeps the reserve 12 volt battery charged. The solar panel is pre-wired with a charge regulator for proper charging and easy connection to the battery, and it comes pre-wired with a 30 foot output cable so it can be quickly set up for immediate operation. Universal mounting capability for the panel(s) speeds set up. We can advise you on the appropriate size solar panel or small array for your particular situation if our standard model packages differ slightly from your particular needs.

S4P-1500 or S4P-2400 Standard Features:
Featuring a Trace DR-1512 or DR2412 AC power inverter pre-wired with two 6 foot, 2/0 DC battery cables with lugged ends; circuit breaker protected duplex receptacle pre-wired to the AC output side; and a 6 foot AC power input cord to plug into a wall outlet or a generator. The inverter features high surge capacity, low idle power consumption, quiet operation, three-stage temperature compensated battery charging, automatic low battery protection, instantaneous switching for standby power applications, and LED status indicators.

Note: The inverters used in the S4P-1500 and S4P-2400 are known for their high efficiency and high surge capability necessary for starting motors, etc. Their modified sine wave output can power most lighting, televisions, appliances and computers very well, however, mod-sine wave may harm some low cost rechargeable tools and flashlights and is not recommended for laser printers, copiers, dimmer switches or variable speed tools.
