SUPERIOR SERIES SWITCHING
Designed by experienced PV system engineers, ProStar’s series design provides many advantages compared to shunt controllers. Series regulations reduces FET heating and lowers voltage stress on the power FETs. A series configuration also improves protection against lightning surges and reduces switching noise. The series design improves charging accuracy. In PWM, series switching becomes self-correcting for temperature and system voltage drops.

The temperature sensor provides accurate battery charging where the controller and the battery experience different ambient temperatures. For maximum environmental protection, the sensor is encapsulated in epoxy inside a stainless steel housing. The RTP is easily installed by soldering 2 wires to the circuit board.
